I am gun shy as hell after downloading the Astromenda virus while trying to update Adobe Flash Player. Can anyone give me a link to a safe download of Adobe?

Clipper, which browser are you using? In Firefox if you go to the far right of the address bar there is a button with 3 horizontal lines. Clicking on that brings up a list of actions. Clicking on the one labeled "Add-ons" brings up a fist of FF add-ons. Flash is not found undwe the A's as you might expect but in the S's for Shockwave Flash. For the Chrome browser, Flash is built into the browser. I don't understand why it wouldn't work on a clean install but I did find this how-to on potential Flash conflicts. www.howtogeek.com/103292/how-to-fix-shockwave-flash-crashes-in-google-chrome/This morning, I don't remember how IE handles Flash, I don't use it often enough I guess. Maybe another cup of coffee will help. You might want to wait for Ralph or Dave to weigh in since I'm a bit unsure of what is going on. Does the guy who did the clean-up on your computers have any advice?

I never went directly to Adobe for Flash, but I always have for Reader. I don't have time to check at the moment ... on my way out ... but check at adobe.com to see if you can download flash directly from there.

I did find a clean download from Adobe.com. Thank goodness for security programs that allow me to check a site BEFORE I download anything. McAffee as well as Norton give me a green indication if I have a secure and reputable site.
