Funny, but it wouldn't install on my XP system. Kept saying the program was incompatible with my system. Turned stuff off and on, etc. No luck.

Somewhere in the reading, it said it wouldn't work with Vista so I suppose XP is not supported as well.

I can understand it not supporting Vista, but I'm guessing XP is the most installed Windows system in the world at the moment. They really don't care they can't be on the vast majority of corporate machines? Remind me not to invest in their stock.
Are you running Windows 7 or 8?

Whoops, I'm wrong. Windows 7 has made great strides since I last checked. And this data is nine months old. Still, I'll guess XP is now down around 35 to 40% of total.

I thought the last I read was that XP had dropped to about 25% with the majority of those being in China. However I can't find that statistic right now.
What am I running? I'm household tech support for Vista, Win 7 Starter, Win 7 Household, Win 8, two tablets with the Barnes & Nobel version of Android, two phones with the Kit Kat version of Android, a mostly unused tablet with an older version of Android, an iPod Touch with some version of iOS (not the current version it's too old to support that). My old XP is currently off line, I loaned the monitor to my son-in-law. Mostly I use Win 7.

I have an old iPod 8GB with last IOS6 installed. Couldn't handle IOS7 not enough space. Now when I charge it up just turning it on seems to hog up the charge and lasts 5 seconds and needs to be charged again. Im not sure if because they are both on my wifi connected to same account influences either. Would you know if I sold it it would be functional to someone else or is this now a dinosaur. Maybe it might be good for iTunes only ?

I suspect that your battery is toast but I've never tried to do any trouble shooting on an iPod. There is an Apple store in Victor. You might try phoning them to see if they do a free battery test. If it's out of warranty I suspect that a battery replacement would be approximately the cost of a new iPod.
