I have never been to a book signing. I really don't have a reason to go. But I bet they can be fun.

All depends on what you consider fun. You get to meet the author and have your book personally signed is well worth waiting in line for. In this case it was well organized and went rather smoothly. You buy your book and are given a ticket that allows you to the book signing. Each group was a letter and 25 to a group. I was in group B. Before the start Carla gave a small presentation and then you go wait in line. They call the groups out so you can sit till your called. I met a very nice woman whom I learned some camera stuff from. This was my second. First was for a book on Polish Americans and the author was from Toronto. That was held at the local Polish Deli here so was catered by the deli and our Polish band played later and a meet and greet as you bought his book. More intimate mostly because everyone knows each other already from other Polish activities being held and then the FB connection.
