This tops anything I have ever seen.
Yesterday I was doing some shopping at Walmart in New Hartford. I was leaving the store when I saw a young lady with her baby, she was placing her groceries in a taxi. She placed her child in the taxi then said to the driver can you just wait a minute I need to run back in a pick up something. Before the driver could respond she closed the car door and ran in side.
At that point I had to get involved. I went up to the taxi driver and said, I can believe what I just saw and heard, is this gal crazy. He just shook his head. He was a little shabby looking. So I waited there until the lady got back to the taxi.
When she arrived I said to her Did you realize the you left your child in a very dangerious situation. And she swore at me. I just wlaked away shaking my head in disbelief.

And she probably went home and told her "friends" how a complete stranger "interferred" with her "rights" - LOL.
Remember, Concerned, you can only educate those that want to be educated!

What still bothers me is the fact that I was the one who felt helpless. All that I was thinking was maybe this person is abandoning her child? Luckly the taxi driver just sat there completely disingaged from what was taking place. I just hope this lady doesn't do this again and then has her child stolen!

Sh-it, even an animal has the natural instinct to protect their young. Don't think education would have changed this Mother's actions. Even the uneducated watches TV and can see the horrible things that can happen if you leave your child unattended and especially with a total stranger. Think with some people, you could stamp warnings on their forehead and they'll still feel it can't happen to their child. Concerned, "BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" You did the right thing. I'm proud of you for getting involved. You deserve a Karma today. This ones for you my friend.

And of course if the child was kidnaped it would NOT be her fault.
*Thats not to say that its completely the parents fault when a child gets kidnaped.

I'm sure this wasn't the first time and won't be the last. It would be great to have child welfare there to take the child and wait to see her reaction to see the kid not in the car.
WHAT A LOOSER!

How do you know that this person was from "Utica" when you saw this at the Walmart in "New Hartford?"
