Cooking with Holy Water

I was watching a program on EWTN last night and a question came up about using Holy Water to cook with. I read where Orthodox do drink it and use in cooking I guess if one was making soup which required boiling would be great to use. I did find a Holy Water recipe for this:


2 oz vodka
1 oz triple sec
1 oz light rum
fill with tonic water
1 dash grenadine syrup


Combine alcohol in a rocks glass over ice. Fill with tonic water, then add one dash of grenadine. Be sure the drink is served with the tonic still bubbling.

I'll have to ask my daughter, the sometimes bartender, what she would serve if someone ordered Holy Water.

Actually it requires water, salt and I am not sure if it is breathed on or has a finger inserted in it.
