Does anyone watch the Oscars? Who or which Movie are you rooting for?
I can't make any predictions since I haven't watched any of the nominations to make any predictions.
I prefer watching the red carpet more than the show.

Kathy watches them in the living room while I retreat to the kitchen TV to watch ANYTHING BUT the Oscars.
I saw on TV yesterday that the red carpet was under water during those storms and they were using a squeegee to get rid of the rainwater. Does that mean that we will see half naked celebrities in expensive SHORT gowns and color coordinated hip waders?

I missed that part. Fell asleep thru a lot of the awards then woke up at the end and stayed up to watch Jimmy Kimmel after show. Tonight he is having Mayor Ford on (mayor from Toronto) Have to watch that for sure. I still can't believe the people of Toronto are planning on voting for him to keep him in.

Kathy watched the presentations. I watched Wild Alaska on the Animal Planet. I was a little disappointed that Sandra Bullock didn't win anything. She is my all time favorite actress. I WAS glad to see that the Oscar went to 12 Years a Slave. I don't normally care to patronize theaters, but Kathy is talking about wanting to view this movie on the big screen. Myself? 50 inches IS the big screen, and the popcorn is cheaper here at home. I would wait for it to come out on Blue Ray or on pay for view. Just a note, I was VERY surprised to see how Steve McQueen has changed since he starred in "Bullit" and drove that awesome 68 Mustang Fastback. The person accepting the Oscar looked more like Al Roker than the Race Car driver and movie star of the 60's and 70's.

I thought Ellen D. was a fantastic host for the really big show. That pizza thing she did was funny. And the group selfie was great. She tried getting a selfie with her and Lisa Manelli which was funny in itself. Lisa looked like she had a few under her belt.
