www.wktv.com/news/local/17945569.htmlCongratulations! Every year we say were going to go and never do. Last year we planned to go coming back from the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Of course we under estimated that trip and ran short on time and it was to late on the way back. I am going to keep this on my calender for a family day out. Has anyone else gone lately and have any feedback or other activities close buy to attend while we are there?

We finally went in October of '06. We have to go down to see Betty's neurologist every six months and were always going to stop. We did that one time. It's not all that and a bag of chips, but if you have kids they will LOVE the duckpond they have there!!! The prices are what you would expect to pay for a tourist stop and the variety is astounding. While it isn't what I would consider an event to go to all by itself, it is a nice stop over if you have other things to do down there. Here's Betty in front of the place.  |

Thanks Ralph, Just one of the many things that are on the "to do list" before my son gets to old and doesn't wanna hang out with the old man anymore.  He will love the duck pond. Every Easter we take him to Chester's Flowers to see the baby duck display. Even know it is the same every year, he looks forward to it and it has become a ritual that Mom and Dad are happy to oblige him. Although sometimes I think it makes us happier to watch him vs him watching the ducks. LOL  Either way it is a memory that will last all of us forever. |

Here's a couple of the ducks/geese there. It's a nice pond that has a couple little bridges over it and you can purchase feed for them out of a few machines along the bank, or bring your own corn to feed them. For kids it is a great trip! Try the fudge while you are there, samples of all their products are all over the place.    |

Todd, I still have to go to Chester's around Easter every year to watch the little duckies.  I could stand there for hours watching the little buggers, especially enjoy when they slide down the ramp. ;D Generation after generation in my family have that outing to pass on to the next.
