Hi Folks, You'll notice that I've changed the "Seeds of Small Bands" thread name on the CNYForum to "After Bebop A Lula: Utica's Bands of 50's 60's" to agree with this thread name. I never did understand why Tony L. began a second thread or why gave it the "Seeds" name. But since Joe Mezz began to combine the threads, my post wound up first, allowing me the opportunity to change the name of the thread. There are still some posts on the "Utica's Bands of the 50's," and I assume Joe is still combining. Hopefully, this will all be less confusing now. Maybe not.

Many Chessmen groups followed after the one shown above. Band members changed from time to time. Slivers replaced Wayne on Drums after his death and Freddy Faccioli replaced Chuck on Keyboards. These were just two that come to mind. Eventually Eric went on to Bigger and better things. Lisa Manilli, The Brass Buttons, Rascals, Bulldog and eventually into Mixing for many Popular Groups. Talking Heads, Robert Palmer, Squeeze, Eurythmics, Sting and a host of others. Eric Thorngren Videos - Instructional Mixing Videos on YouTube. www.nme.com/video/search/thorngren

Dale Ryder played in a band with my uncle that is only two years older than I am. There was Dale Ryder, Kit Temple, Roger Patocki, and my uncle was Jim Gaylord, a drummer from Whitesboro. I think they called the band the Four Issues.
Dale used to live in Chadwicks. I remember going with Jim to a rehearsal at his house. I remember going out of NH past the High School, and when that road curves around to the left to go to Oneida St in Chadwicks or Willowvale or wherever, Dale lived back in on a side street. He had a really neat little roadster that I loved.

Wilum47, just wanted you to know I was with Elaine Hickel today. Told her that we were talking about Rich and Tony on the forum and it brought tears to her eyes. She was so happy many were remembering both of them. We talked about all the good times at Club Monarch with those two and all the bands that played there. Mentioned alot of the band names and members that we have talked about on the forum. She is doing quite well running the Club now. It keeps her and her kids busy since they all work there along with her. They are a great family and Rich would have been very proud of them.

Hmmm! Glad to see ya back! It's been "quiet" without ya, hahahhahah! (Sorry couldn't help myself) Glad ya got moved without any problem. Now RJ can rest. I can picture him doing the moving, and just before he closed the back door on the Uhaul, he scooped up you and your computer, and set you in the truck, LOLOL!
Frank is hiding from you I guess! He is probably chatting with Kim to get the address and phone number of the stripper that lives in Kim's neighborhood, haha!

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What stripper? Hope Frankie has alot of extra cash laying around. Not to pay her, but for all the medical bills he'll have after his encounter with her. ;D Thanks for the welcome back kiddo. Here's hoping my computer co-operates and doesn't give me any more problems. Well, off to bed now. Have another busy day tomorrow. Boy, am I pooped. This moving is for the birds and the only way I'll be leaving again for any reason will be in a box. Have already informed a few of my undesirable neighbors of that fact already. One of us is going to be moving and it ain't gonna be me. Sweet dreams to all. Will catcy y'all soon.

When you finally get to meet Frank at camp, inquiring minds want to know. Let us know if he has a brass pole installed in the center of the living room, and we will know then, if he hooked up with Kim's stripper neighbor, hahahaha!
Medical bills?? Hell a good roll in the hay with a young stripper, might be better than a visit to the chiropractor for getting the kinks out of a middle aged body, heehee!

I can see it all now. "But honest officer, the syringe is filled with ampicillin! It is simply for prophylactic use! I am on my way to camp for a rendezvous with a stripper from NC!!" ;D ;D
