Remember when Emmylou Harris was played on rock stations?

I honestly can't remember ever being too fond of Emmy Lou's music nor do I remember her ever being known as a rock musician. The only time I listened to her was in the late 70's, live at the theater from which the Wheeling West Virginia country station used to broadcast. Actually ran smack into her on the elevator at the hotel the afternoon prior to the concert. I had taken the Oriskany Falls American Legion folks there on a bus charter to see the broadcast of that famous radio show, and to attend the dog races. I remember how cordially we were treated and received by an all black local legion post there, who cooked a chicken barbecue dinner for the group, and had us back after the concert and show for a long night of partying for some of my passengers. The highlight of the evening for me was to win $100 on a pull tab ticket and to just about float away on the free coca colas people kept buying for me, lol.
