I tried posting pics using photobucket on the Cougar and Alligator post. When I previewed the thread before posting, it was fine and the pics were there.
After posting the thread the pics were not there and said they were removed. What happened?

Beats me.  Were they removed from the post itself or from your Photobucket account? For quick posts like that I use Tinypic. Only because it doesn't load up my Photobucket account and if it disappears after a few months it's no big deal. But I don't understand why yours disappeared. |

Do you have to leave the pic in your photo bucket account? I did go back and delete the pics after posting. Maybe that was the problem. Is the tinypic that you use free or a program you had to buy?

Yes, You have to leave the pictures in your account. The IMG tags are links that point to those pictures. Take the pictures out of the account and the IMG tag links to nothing. Yes, Tinypic is free and doesn't have anything in particular to do with the user, it's just random uploads to their server. Thought I noticed that pictures that are hosted there sometimes disappear after a year or so. But for purposes as we use them here in our posts, it doesn't really matter. Here's the link: tinypic.com/Just as a note, all the "avatars" and other graphics used by the board are actually stored in a special Photobucket account I set aside just for this board....so they won't go anywhere. |

Ralph,
I put the pics back into my photobucket and they automatically came back on the forum. So I guess that was the problem. The pics have to stay in ones photobucket.
