My wife & I attended "Rock of Ages" at the Stanley last night.
I'm suspicious that there were "plants" in the audience.
Possibly the loudest musical event I've attended since Joan Jett and the Blackhearts played at the Aud.

Rock of Ages was a Broadway musical, then a movie now a touring musical. In a way it is like "Mama Mia" in that the plot was constructed around a set of pre-selected musical pieces. In this case the story is set to several heavy rock numbers from the late 80s.
My wife & I saw the movie and some friends invited us to go with them to the Stanley for the road show. I thought the movie did a better job of developing a rather thin plot. The music is from the period when I drifted away from listening to current hits but is mostly stuff I like. Search "Rock of Ages" on YouTube and you can sample as much as you like.
My remark about "plants" in the audience was generated by several "sing along" audience members in our section who sang as proficiently as the cast.
