In visits to the Mohawk Valley I have noticed the the TV Stations on Smith Hill are doing very little with their digital sub channels. WKTV runs their CW on a sub channel and I think WUTR runs their co owned low power My Network on one of theirs. There are some great channels out there that I know the people in the Mohawk Valley, with its older demographics, would love to have available. These are channels people actually watch. Here in Rochester we have the full ME-TV schedule. People are watching. Here's a link to the programs they are running metvnetwork.com/programs.php. We don't Antenna TV in Rochester yet, but I hope we'll get it. www.antennatv.tv/shows, There is a brand new network called Cozi... www.cozitv.com/Cozi is owned by NBC, so I guess if anybody was going to pick it up, it would be WKTV. There are a couple other retro channels. I believe there is a low power station in Utica running the inferior Retro-TV. I don't think Time Warner picks it up. Interested? Then you should call the TV stations and ask them to pick up Me-TV etc. Then call your cable/satellite provider and make sure they add them to their line up. Here in Rochester Time Warner & Dish do have Me-TV but Direct does not. Wouldn't you like to a channel that actually show good programs 24 hours a day and no informercials? Merry Christmas everyone!

Chris you would need the digital box from Time Warner to get ME-TV off cable. To get it off air you would have to have a TV with a digital off air receiver. Most HD TV's have one built in. If you have a flat screen TV with a remote that has channel numbers on it then you have one. If you have an older analog TV you'd need a converter box to receive off air signals. And you need an antenna. Your local Radio Shack can hook you up. Best thing about Radio Shack, if it doesn't work, they'll take it back. Just think back to the rabbit ears days but now it's digital with more channels available. And here's a little secret Time Warner doesn't ant you to know. If you have Road Runner you can split the cable and connect it up to your digital TV. You won't get all the channels but you'll get most of of them (including ME-TV in Rochester) and then stop paying for cable TV.

I had a coupon way back when when they were giving them out but but my tv didn't require it with my cable connection so never bothered getting the box to install. Since my tv works perfectly I won't be getting a flat screen till this one goes. I'll check on my mom's since we got her a flat screen. Thanks Jeff.

I don't care about any of the teams left in the playoffs so I'm watching the Laurel & Hardy marathon right now on ME-TV. I did buy some squares in some local bars, so maybe I'll have some football excitement the day after the Superbowl.
