didn't I recently complain about my printer. People if you are going to buy a new printer...don't buy an HP. Now its printing blue text. I just replaced cartridges. It sucks up ink worse than a sponge and if you are out of one color it won't print either. With my old cannon I could just add black cartridge and print text not so with this stupid piece of crpapaer.appy HP. and it wastes.

Hmmm. I had a Lexmark as my last printer. Ink didn't last anytime at all with that printer, and often dried up before the cartridge was empty.
A friend bought a Canon wireless printer and gave me his HP. I am happy as a clam with the HP. This model doesn't use much ink at all, and it doesn't dry up like the lexmark did.
Must be a different model that what you have. I am not sure what model this particular printer is, seeing as how I got it used from a friend. Most of what I print is associated with my being president of the bowling association and luckily the association pays for my ink and printer paper.

Must have got a lemon or you got Lucky. Anyhow I went out and bought a new black cartridge and replaced it earlier today and it still printed blue. So I just went on HP to troubleshoot and it is said to give it some time... ? so I tried to print a letter in WORD and now it prints like it should. It is so annoying. When it prints and acts nice it is good but when it is bad it drives me nuts. I have an HP 5514 model

I have had good luck with HP's, though when I install them I use only the drivers that I need to run it and stay away from the crap I don't need. If I need something more for it I will hunt down and install the "commercial/business" version of the software.
Right now we have a HP Deskjet 3050 and it doesn't do a bad job. But we have a HP 5500 series printer at work that I would gladly throw under the bus!
