wonderwall.msn.com/movies/gossip-12-03-12-irs-seizes-lindsay-lohans-bank-accounts-22783.galleryHow many times can this girl get into trouble with the law and buy her way out of it? 5 or 6 times in a rehab, and yet says she doesn't have an alcohol problem? Hmmm. I have to wonder about that, but only SHE can decide whether rehab would do her any further good. One has to WANT to quit drinking. I think in this particular case, we are seeing a spoiled brat that simply has no regard for the law, or anyone around her. However sad, loss of wealth, loss of status, and a stint in a corrections facility might do her more good than rehab. She has had more than adequate chance to turn it all around and change direction. It MAY simply be time for her to learn the hard way that her behavior is not acceptable, period. If something is not done, she is going to seriously harm someone else or herself. She simply doesn't seem to learn from past mistakes. Personally, I am sick of seeing her name in the news. I would like to see her get her just reward and do some time for her foolishness. THAT is the only Lilo news I would be interested in seeing at this point.

And then we wonder while health insurance premiums go up. Put her in a womans shelter in New York City for 28 days. Or send her to McPike. Actually the kids at McPike are spoiled little brats.

Alan, this girl has been in many routes in recovery programs and she has gotten away with things that you and I would go to jail for, so give her jail time and make it fit the crimes she continues to do. I have no sympathy what so ever for this brat at all. She's had her breaks, many of them, and now she should be made to pay.

Many of the kids at McPike probably ARE spoiled brats. Many of them are probably there by court order. That is not a the fault of the McPike staff. Some of us found the McPike program to be a life saver. Of course I went through the program when it was not yet at the Utica location and was strictly an alcohol unit. It literally saved my life in 1976. It is sad for those that are serious about recovery to be intermingled with the morons that are there with no intentions of succeeding or that are simply satisfying a court order to complete a residential program.
While I watched many come and go, some going over the hill to drink at the Marcy Tavern, only to be caught when they returned. Rehab of any kind is only effective for those that want to be rehabilitated. Lilo doesn't seem to be too motivated to succeed in a recovery program.

She has been given so many chances that it sounds like she is on the road to self destruction with no way back. I don't even feel sorry for her anymore.

Has she done anything serious other than bar fights? If she is only a hazard in the bars, maybe they should leave her alone. Here's a list of her arrests. Not to minimize them, but they appear more administrative than otherwise. True she could have killed someone driving under the influence, but I wonder about "a man claimed she hit his knee while trying to park her Porsche." Evidently, so too did the prosecutor. Seems odd she's gotten more press than the late but not lamented Muammar Gaddafi. Here's the list. www.businessinsider.com/all-of-lindsay-lohans-arrests-2012-11

I wonder how long she would last if she was just some nurses aid in Utica. Or single mother transporting her 5 small children on the bus while carring a stroller, two backpacks, four bags of groceries, three bottles of milk formula and then be told by the bus driver that she has to fold up the stroller. I see it every day!

Her offenses may appear minor, but they all point to a disregard for the law, and a refusal to change her behavior.
I think she likes the publicity, no matter how negative it is.
I am sure that she has a body guard and security when she goes out. If she doesn't she should have. If she were to let the body guard or someone else resolve issues with other people, she would not be punching people in the face. If she were to have someone else drive when she was partying, she would not be a repeat DUI offender, and would save thousands in body shop charges.
Maybe they SHOULD leave her alone. Leave her to fight it out and hope that someone kicks the living crap out of her and teaches her a real lesson in reality. She won't be making any movies with her jaw wired, two shiners, and lacerations over both eyes. I would PAY to see THAT fight.
It is obvious to me that she simply has no regard for the law or for authority. Some of her arrests and court cases have been due to to her violating her probation on previous charges, failure to appear, or failure to complete the requirements set forth by a judge.

Clipper: "It is obvious to me that she simply has no regard for the law or for authority."
Yup, not unlike a lot of other self-important egomaniacs out there who are getting a lot less publicity.
And: "Maybe they SHOULD leave her alone. Leave her to fight it out and hope that someone kicks the living crap out of her and teaches her a real lesson in reality."
I could go along with that. I'm not so upset that here we have just another bimbo (I use that term in the public relations sense) who likes to party and slap people around, than I am in the way both the press and the courts seem to be handling her.
Probably they should leave her to her fate. Or, if the courts really think she's Public Enemy No. 1, they should lock her up and throw away the key so the Press can get back to cheering us up regarding the fiscal cliff and other night time stories.
When I volunteered for an agency up north, I knew a girl just like her, but she didn't have such a scale of public notoriety and she didn't monopolize the news channels. I would argue her exploits were not any more or less "news" than lilo.

You are right Dave. I guess I am just sick of seeing her in the news. It was like when Paris Hilton was getting into trouble. I got so sick of looking at her sniveling brat face that I was ready to puke.
Lilo's parents are both real beauties too. It is no wonder that the kid is a mess.
I just think that if they are going to sentence her to a said number of days, they should not let her out until she has served the time the judge sentenced her to. She may learn if she does a few weeks without seeing the outside, and is unable to negotiate an early out. I have never been in a jail, but I DO know that I would not be a repeat offender if I had. Just from what I have seen of jails through visits and on TV I would not want to spend even a day in there.
