If we ever have another Clipperfest, all we'll need is a pool and a volunteer. I think I'll suggest Bobbbiez She's the only one wiry enough to escape!

I was disappointed that they didn't show how they got the stuff out of the pool. From my days (mostly nights actually) working in a turkey factory, colloidal suspensions are devilishly hard to pump.

I vote for BZ Dave. The last pictures from Jamaica show that she still cuts quite a stunning figure in a bikini, and for me or you to walk on custard, the custard would have to be pretty damn thick and rubbery. How much custard will it take to fill Addison Miller? I will leave the planning up to you and BZ Dave. Let me know the date. I will bring hot dogs and a macaroni salad. lol It would be fun to do that clipperfest thing again, but it was lot of work to coordinate, and the stress was ridiculous. We DID have a good time though, even with the rain. It was stressful to coordinate it from here in Tennessee. Thank God Frank and BZ helped with many of the details and some of you helped pay for the pavilion rental.

I think that the answer to getting the colloidal suspension out of the pool was a couple of hundred kids with plastic spoons Clarence.

Wouldn't dish soap break it up? I know milk is a colloidal suspension. You can do an interesting experiment that my students liked. Use a cookie tray ( that has sides) make sure it is clean. Pour a small container of whole milk into the tray. Enough to cover the entire bottom. Now drop two drops of food coloring in six places ( as if you were dropping cookie dough onto the cookie sheet. Keep them away from the sides of the tray and away from each other.
Using a bottle of dishsoap very carefully drop one drop of dishsoap onto the top of each of the food coloring areas on the tray, you need to be fast about that last step.
Now you can watch the different colored fat molecules in the milk create a fantastic piece of artwork.

Remember I'm trained in physics not chemistry. I have no idea what cornstarch & water does at a molecular level, whether it's a solution, an emulsion, a suspension or something else. (Now that I think about it, I should learn that for both corn starch & flour. It might help me make smother gravy.)
I'm pretty sure that it would be a bad thing to do something that would cause the corn starch to precipitate in a thick blanket of goo at the bottom of the pool.

I"m lost. I thought a colloidal was a bad stomach ache.

Didn't know you were trained in Physics. My majors were Biology and Chemistry. Forgoted a lot of the Chem, though. Speaking of Physics I hope you are watching The Big Bang Theory. I think you might like it. Up here it is on CBS Thursdays at 8PM. and also on TBS at 8PM to 9 or 10PM on Tue., Wed,

Very impressive demonstration... only in Britian. But it doesn't matter much to me because I can't eat that much Rhubarb Crumble.
Oh, and Dave... you're probably thinking of that popular drink, the Pina Colonic.
