I am thrilled with the new look, and all the features added.
For those that didn't happen to follow all the chit chat between Ralph, myself, Jduges, Kim and others, concerning the improvement of the board, I have to review.
I put the board up a week or so ago. I am very limited in computer skills, and became confused while creating it. I was then unable to get back into the admin portion of the program to change anything or appoint moderators or administrators.LOL
Well after much confusion, and frustration, I was able to get Kim and Ralph into the admin section.
WE ALL OWE RALPH A DEBT OF GRATITUDE FOR THE WONDERS HE HAS PERFORMED IN CLEANING UP AND IMPROVING OUR NEW SITE! I LOVE IT!
Thanks Ralph. And Kim is also administrator, and will be working with Ralph to continue to improve our site. I am administrator in name only, because I started the board, but I am limited in my knowlege of such things and will depend on those two to do the technical stuff.
Iam flattered that it is named Clipper's Corner, but it belongs to all of us! I created it not as a blog, but as a place for us all to go and freely discuss the issues that we were being stifled in discussing on the other forum.
It may be MY corner, but it is OUR forum and board! I am thrilled to have been able to start this thing and grateful that ya'll have made it so successful!
Thank you to all of my friends and members!

LJ the name "clipper" came from an old CB handle from the 80's. I was driving a truck and have always been an avid Joe Dimaggio fan. I decided that I would be "yankee clipper". Then later, a woman and her husband in Newark NY, wrote a poem and related it to a "clipper ship" such as the old sailing ships. I used to talk to them everytime I passed by, and we became friends. I was driving on weekends while working at the base, and it got to be a Saturday nite thing to have coffee with "fuzzy bunny" and "jackrabbit" . I haven't seen the poem in years, and don't remember much of it, other than they referred to a clipper ship sailing quickly into the night, blah, blah, blah. Haha.
Those days are gone. I am older, fatter, and slower now. I would have to be likened more to a barge, slogging along noisily and making big waves, Hhaha.

Well, a barge has a lower profile and offers a much harder target to hit.
I got your back door, old buddy. Who's in the rocking chair?
