Me to Dan. ;D I agree and hope for a super playoff to end the season. Hopefully with the Rangers being the Stanley Cup holders. ;D The only regret I have is that I probably will not be able to get most of the playoff games, because here we have mostly the Canuck channels and unless it's a Canadian team playing they don't televise the others. You just don't know how pis-ed I get when they do that. The bright side is that on May 2, I'll be back in Utica for good with my cable and will never bitch about Warner again. They are 100% better then the satellites here. Only proves- the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Hey Dan, before you let Clipper and Frank guide you to self destruction make sure they give you the proper equipment so you can protect your family jewels.

Dan, how long before you plan on leaving Detroit?
Not that I am any expert on global terrorism, nor do I profess to be clairvoyant in any way, but the reason I ask is:
I predict that Detroit will be the target of the next "big" terrorist attack on the United States. It will be far worse than 9/11.
I just thought I'd let you know.

Hey Frank,
Thanks for the concern. I've been thinking along the same lines but I'm interested in hearing your reasons for thinking we are "ground zero 2".
I'm planning on making the move in about a year. I've got to get a house and a job in that time. I'm not going to sell my house here, the market is still in freefall and I'd loose an ungodly amount if I panic-sell. Both my kids are grown and only my youngest is still at home. He will probably stay here and turn this place into the local version of Delta House.
PS: I'd never throw you under anything you couldnT handle. :-)

Thank you for asking. (I do note that no veterans of CC bothered to ask me -- they're all rolling their eyes thinking, oh dear, here he goes) Detroit is the next target because of its size. First, it is going to be very big. Bin Laden or whoever is doing their planning wants to shut down our economy. 9/11 staggered it but the economy recovered, driven by the American consumer, fueled by loans from Chinese banks. The bad guys know it has to be much bigger. It will be either biological, chemical or nuclear and if delivered to an urban center has the potential to kill 300,000 people and injure many more. In other words, a hundred times worse than 9/11. It would have the potential to deliver the knockout punch. The big cities have done a reasonable job of improving their security measures, thereby making them a harder target. Cities the size of Detroit, Kansas City, Columbus or anywhere in middle America don't appear to feel as threatened and perhaps have not hardened their security. As I go over that list of cities, Detroit makes more and more sense considering that it is a densely populated urban center positioned on the relatively loose border with Canada. It is home to a significant portion of the few remaining industrial jobs in the nation. A crude fission bomb with the yield equivalent to the Hiroshima bomb would instantly kill a half-million people and deliver a knock-out punch to the American, and world economies. It probably doesn't help Detroit's chances any that Motown music has been corrupting Arab youth for well over 40-years now. PS: Normally, I would say I could handle being under any bus. But Bobbbiez may be a different story.

Let me start another thread to reply to our targeting thoughts. Don't want to get too far off base and ruin Bobbbiez Rangers thread.
