entertainment.verizon.com/news/read.php?ps=1018&rip_id=%3CDA0KLUQO2%40news.ap.org%3E&_LT=MNEW_LARSDCCLM_UNEWSAnother officer has died as a result of a shooting in Texas, along with a male civilian. The shooter was also killed. Two more officers were wounded along with a civilian woman. Just recently we had a local sheriff's deputy shot and killed when he responded to a domestic call. He was fatally shot as he got out of his car. THAT shooter was also killed by other responding officers. It reminded me very much of the Wyman death because the officer's wife was pregnant with their first child and the baby was born today. So very sad. Law enforcement has become even more dangerous as an occupation in all parts of our country as law enforcement budgets are cut, officers are laid off, and incidents of violence are on the increase. It used to be more prevalent in big cities, but it seems lately that rural areas and small towns are becoming the scene of more homicides and violent crime.
