I'm kinda bitter that this coverage for local swimmers wasn't around when I swam. But it's great to see that the paper recognizes the "other" sports. I was in the end of my college career when I swam with the Lescher girls. They were talented then and I've been impressed with their wonderful collegiate careers.

Wish I could say I helped inspire their drive for great swimming, but then I'd be lying. I practiced with the other three girls' older sisters so I recall seeing them when they were little.

Swimming is such a fun and rewarding sport. I wish there was more participation from the local high schools. New Hartford used to be the king of swimming for a very long time. It would be nice to see that happen again. Time will tell if we can see similar glory days again.

I agree with you. I love to watch various swimming events. I could do it in high school but now I can't walk and breath at the same time.
Proctor has a great swimming pool. I am surprised we don't get some results in that area of sports. I guess ya can't make a lot of mony swimming.
