That company won a 1 billion dollar contract from the government to do this. Private company paid by government. Why did the government just do it and forget the middle man.
That money should be used to fund Social Security or at least pay back what the government took

Because if the Government did it, it would have farmed it out to at least 12 different companies, taken 10 more years to develop it, and probably cost at least 10 billion more.

I like privatized space travel. NASA has broken a trail and its time for the civilian world to enter it. We cannot afford to let our Government be in charge of everything, they have proven to be unfit to carry the burden or spend our pennies wisely. Within a couple years they will have human capsules that will carry up to 7 Astronauts and have estimated a 60 million per seat savings on each flight! Nearly Half a billion per flight less than NASA isnt a bad Idea.
