Alright folks....I can get in.

At some point in the wee hours here the board will go down for a bit.

I have to put it in maintenance mode to insert the codes, which I am modifying at present as I don't think you all want parrot images all over the place!!!!

Hopefully it will be back up and running before any of you notice......except when you log back in and see the changes.

I am off for now to delve in the underworld of HTML.

Alright everyone, for the moment what you see is what you get.

We will have to work on a name if you all want something different, but for the moment I thought Clipper's Corner was fitting.

Same with the picture (which is of the West Canada in the Town of Ohio), background, colors, etc.

I have not yet got in touch with Kim as I imagine she is asleep!!!
But I will and will figure out some stuff between us and Clipper I am sure.

I have at present created a Photobucket account for the board so we have a place to store the images (such as the special built picture above) new icons for different functions, as well as giving me the ability to customize some better "smiley's" for the board.

I am at present awaiting for someone to get back to me on how to move the "Login" box up to the top instead of the bottom of the Board. It does make it much easier to login that way.

At present:
You will find links to different board/thread sections at the bottom left as well as at the top left.

When you return to a thread that you have previously posted in, you should automatically be sent back to your last post instead of having to scroll through all the posts to find where you left off.

The News Fader at the top of the board has been activated!
It will automatically show the newest member to climb on board and will also show any birthdays that happen to be on the present days calendar.

You will find that on the top right of the info bar (where Home, Help, Search, Logout is located) a telephone icon.

This is for the PM, or Private Message function.
If you have no new PM's, the telephone will remain there.
If you receive a new PM from someone, there will be a flashing red NEW to alert you.

At the very bottom is located an expanded Forum Statistics Section.
this will tell you who is on-line at present, who has been on-line with in the last 24 hours, total members, newest member, etc, etc, ad nausea tum.

I can't think of much more to tell you all, although I can think of TONS more that needs to be done, but.............

............I have to sleep sometime!

Hopefully you will all enjoy what little I have done and sometime during the day Thursday I can finish adding the particular different categories that we will need.

If anyone of you has suggestions or things/topics you would like to see. PLEASE, by all means post it here!!!

And you can bet you ass I have worked on the censored word list too!!!!!

Can you get rid of that parrot typing? I like birds and all, but I prefer to have the choice of putting it there.

I think Generic Sections is appropriate. News or Current Events (Maybe even split News into three categories local, State, World, the you obviously need Sports, and Perhaps an Arts and Entertainment section. I think you should also do a Category just for board related matters, a Q and A type section where users can posts questions specific to using the forums. Finally, I'd add a "Pandora's Box" section where users have a little more liberty to discuss any issues freely, kinda an enter at your own risk sort of thing.

So by my count theres five forums (potentially 8 if you split news) News, Sports, Arts and Entertainment, Message Board Q and A and Pandora's Box.

Currently it's set to censor the biggies...the f bomb, the c and p words, etc. I changed the p word to read as cat. Sometimes I amuse myself. ;-) I dunno...maybe those will change. I'll have to talk to Clipper and Ralph and see what they want to do with the words.

But what if I was to post a thread about a certain musical group and their concert calendar? Or give a review on the child cartoon turned movie that stared Tara Reid?

I wouldn't, I'm just being an obnoxious ass Trying to find legitimate times that word could be used. But I think it's quite a stretch. Is the word censor sophisticated so that you can keep it from picking words apart, i.e. instead of censoring assumption to disagreeumption, it would let assumption stand?
