WOW! Another bunch of punks, only this time they are girls. At their sentencing the one girl is giggling. The audacity of kids today is over whelming and hard to comprehend. I haven't seen this type of animalistic behavior from girls since my days in Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, a max for women. They beat this girl for over 1/2 hour and she was seriously hurt. Whatever happened to parents bringing their girls up to act like "ladies". Back when I was a teenager, I never once thought of actually hitting another girl - that is just something that was unheard of and not done.
It is one thing to defend yourself, but there is absolutely no reason at all for beating another girl so badly all over name calling. I hope EACH one of these girls are treated as adults and get a jail sentence out of this.

I think the parents might be getting the message in this case. Their names and phone numbers have been posted on the web and they're all getting abusive phone calls. They've asked deputies for protection.

The sad part is that the mother of one of the beaters blames, not her daughter, but the victim! Please, can wcup102 and company go shoot that dumb bitch?!

sorry bobbbiez, the group grew to so many i couldn't remember whose job was what -- I was a little intoxicated and really upset when I heard the news reporter say that the mother of one of the teens blames the victim for being the victim. I have every bit of trust in your shooting capabilities! I was including you in the "and company" portion. Next time I'll try to remember to specifically name you too! |

In watching the video, you can tell the moment when the judge must have said $30,000. I think her reaction is understandable -- tell any teen they have to come up with 30 large and they'll react in the same way. Remember, we're dealing with not-fully-developed brains here.
Now, a parent blaming the victim? Hand me my 9-iron.

bobbbiez, You probably weren't included because they were not males and swimmy didn't think your shot would be as effective. As far as the parent goes.......well as I've said before that's where the new law (if we had one) for "STUPID" would come into play. ;D This video is more shocking every time I watch it and I can't watch the whole thing. These girls are going to be tried as adults and I predict they will go to prison and hopefully get the blistering they rightfully deserve.  |

From what I understand, the victim made some insulting remarks on her My Space about some of these girls. IMO - this is something that goes on all the time between teenage girls and it certainly does NOT warrant a savage beating with 2 male friends to stand as "lookouts" outside the house where these girls were beating up the victim.
There are other NON-violent ways to deal with name calling and ALL of these girls should have been taught that by now. The only one to "blame" for this are the girls themselves. Let's see how "tough" they will be when they are locked up in a prison with girls much "tougher" than they are.

Swimmy, I guess I did jump to an unwarranted conclusion concerning my shooting.  Now that I think about it more clearly you are forgiven for not thinking of me being capable of handling the job. ;D TODD IS RIGHT IN HIS ASSUMPTION!!!!!
