UTICA — A Utica man faces a felony charge after he fought with police following a foot chase, authorities said.
At about 2 p.m. Wednesday, officers conducted a vehicle stop on Gold Street in Cornhill and noticed possible drug activity in the car, police said.
When they asked passenger Mikal Ameen, 33, of John Street, to exit the vehicle, he fled but was caught a short distance away, police said.
Ameen then fought to break free, during which time the officer suffered an injury, police said.Ameen was taken into custody with the assistance of another officer.
Ameen was charged with felony second-degree assault, two counts of misdemeanor resisting arrest and the violations of harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.

Now that they have less officer's they need to be much more aggressive. This guy and all like him should just be given an order to Stop or you will be shot and they shoot the guy dead.
