From TonyJ:
Another good musician that has passed and should be added is
Sarkis "SARGE" Sageer. He sang and played a great guitar . He was legally blind and was a self taught player. He played quite a bit around the Utica area and was well liked.

I knew Sarge through the CB radio. He was a great guy as well as being a great musician. May he rest in peace.

I had known Sarge for years through the CB as well. He used to play at Slim's every now and then. Great guy and surely missed.

Ralph, what was YOUR handle on the CB and what channel did you monitor most? I am going back to the late 70's when I knew Sarge, Blonde Bomber, and others.

I knew Sarge (Sgt. Snorkle) through both CB and music. He was blind but he had a great ear. I brought my Gibson Les Paul Special guitar to him once and he adjusted the bridge to calibrate the harmonics of the 12th fret, and he did this by ear in only a few minutes. The guitar sounded real sweet after that.
I was introduced to Sarge by a mutual friend, John Mudge who had worked with my dad. His family was one of our tenants when his kids were very young. After he moved to east Utica John was also into CB but I can't remember his handle. John and Sarge were both very nice guys.
