From Clipper on 9/13/2011: "Happy Birthday to Chuck Schoenley on his first birthday in heaven. I only knew Chuck casually and vaguely. He was a fraternity brother to my Uncle Jim Gaylord and I think they may have played music together at one time or another. I think Chuck is the first one that was actually a member here that has left us. Correct me if I am wrong."

Chuck and I are originally from the same town - New Hartford, just outside Utica NY. I knew Chuck long before he was reacy for a band. His family had a pond on their property and a lot of us kids used to swim there in the summers. Chuck studied the keyboard and became very good at it, and played with Eric Thorngren and his Chessmen. Later in life, after his wild and crazy band days, he took up the guitar and was taking lessons just before he passed. His favorite style was 'Grunge.' Different strokes for different folks I guess. Chuck and I became good friends again via email in his last couple of years and he'll be missed greatly. RIP Chuck.
