Hey clipper, I had the honor of being his vocalist for 7 years, both with the big band, as well as the small quintet, that he used for weddings, parties, and small functions. His stamina was unreal, as well as the breath control, that he would show me how to control, with my voice. He paid me amazing compliments, which, from him, were some great accolades. He also was a stern perfectionist, and if you screwed up, he would let you know it, and demand you do it right, and that dedication, was what made all musicians respect and follow their own dedications, in their own direction. He had respect from many people in the community as well. Mayors, Senators, Lawmakers, as well as the average guy down the street, who admired him.....he will be missed, by me, as well as other new musicians, who now will have some goal of attaining his stature................but, there will only be one Sal Alberico Sr.

So sad to see, Sal was a great Musician. I used to go see him play with Teddy Grabowski years ago. He could strike it up on a whim and keep ya whistling for hours after. RIP Sal...

Wow another great lost, now I only wish we can get all the musician from are past to do the reunion jam before it's too late. When someone like Sal dies it hurts more people then we think.Over the years think of how many people he touched while he played. He even past it on to his son Sal jr if he is still playing I hope so last I knew he was.My heart and music goes out to him and his family.I got to list these names on the memorial wall soon. But I do not know how to do it any help out there please, Bobbbiez.......NYE

Jay, it looks like the posts about musicians who have passed away are in the thread named "The Dearly Departed Musicians." You can post there. There's another thread Ralph must have set up called the Musicians Memorial Wall, but there are no posts in it yet. Wasn't Tony keeping the list? Or was it you or Bz? I don't remember.

Jay and Dave, I'm pretty sure it was TonyJ that had a list.

There is a fairly completed list that I started last year. Many have contributed to it, and all are invited to add to it. Thank you , TonyJ

the best way to keep the list and view all is to copy latest list and paste into a new post then add yours to it. so instead of having to look for all on the list thru posts the last post would be a completed current. what do you think...just MHO

Tony, I have an idea. Sent you a pm. Dave
And I sent a note to Jay, just noticing he's the moderator of the Musicians Memorial Wall.
