AMSTERDAM —
A Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy deployed two Taser cartridges Thursday night, just to watch a rifle-toting Amsterdam man allegedly rip the barbs out of his skin, police said.
Deputy Richard Christiano was called at 10:22 p.m. to 961 Route 67, because of a noise complaint and was met at the door by Daniel A. Jackowski, who allegedly had a 30.06 rifle aimed at the deputy.
Jackowski, who police listed as being 6 feet, 4 inches and 230 pounds, then complied with an order to drop the rifle although he did begin to resist when the deputy tried handcuffing him, police said.
Christiano deployed an initial Taser cartridge that Jackowski allegedly ripped out of his skin and then deployed a second cartridge with the same result.
Jackowski and the deputy began to tussle – at one point the Taser shocked the deputy – before the suspect was finally placed in custody, police said.
Jackowski is charged with:
Felony
* Menacing a police officer
* Third-degree possession of a weapon
* Second-degree assault
Misdemeanors
* Resisting arrest
* Second-degree obstructing governmental administration
Violation
*Disorderly conduct
Jackowski was sent to Montgomery County Jail, in Fultonville, on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
Assisting at the scene were state police and Amsterdam police.

This had to be one of those "HOLY SHIT " moments for that poor deputy. Kinda like when you hit some big old dude between the eyes just as hard as you can and he just shakes his head and grins at ya. Anyone that can take two shots with a taser and pull out the barbs and keep on wrestling is either one tough SOB or really high on something.
