Court rules against Muslim inmate
What a cheap cop out by the Supreme Court. Look to the first amendment and the Article 5 due process clause! I can't believe the court would allow such behavior. Wait, yes I can, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. But that's somehow different in the sense that those are terrorist/military combatants.
I'm not normally a fan of Justice Kennedy, but in this case, I agree with his statement.
I thought for certain that the court would side on the idea that this is a clear due process violation, not to mention a clear violation of the 1st amendment.
Sometimes I am ashamed to have to associate myself in the same profession as these guys.

"The seizure of property by an officer raises serious concerns for the liberty of our people and the act should not be read to permit appropriation of property without a remedy," Kennedy said.
