Anyone here own one. I have decided to go for it and trade my ipod nano for the iPod Touch. After reviewing a few articles while shopping I think I'll wait a little while till the kinks are out of the IOS5 (latest version released Oct 12th) I want the black one but seems that they released the white only in most stores and most stores are still selling the IOS4 and Apple is allowing upgrade. But I'm reading about glitches with the upgrades so prefer to wait to get exactly what I want. Why upgrade when I can buy the lastest plus with the newer IOS5 you don't need a PC or Mac to install iTunes. Can do it with WiFi.
I'm getting anxious now. My thinking is Thanksgiving holiday always start the best shopping deals. One thing I don't understand is that in todays ad for BestBuy they wanted 224.98 (sale price of $5) I was under the impression that Apple sets the price and everyone is selling the 8gb for 199.00 Apple included.

I can't keep up with all this new technology in todays techno age. I have a simple Obama cell phone which I so seldom use that I decided not to bother recert. for the next year. It will be my part in helping the taxpayers

yesterday I finally went and bought the iTouch. I specifically asked if it was loaded with the newest IOS5...oh yes they told me. Today when I came home from work called Apple to find out how to operate the damm thing. Comes with no manual (print on the box is so light and small even my spyglass would not magnify it large enough to read. (well just barely) I suppose I am a genius so I don't need a manual are Apple's thoughts. Theya re emailing me the manual so I can read up and practice before I return this one. First we checked to see if it was loaded with IOS5 and it was not. I can wait...I waited this long so far. Just miffed because when I ask for a specific thing then that is what I should be sold. No ifs, ands or buts.

In the last 2 days I've read about 2 different hacks for IOS 5. Both involved the iPad but maybe the delay will allow for updates to be in place before you upgrade.
My experience with the Touch is tech support for my wife. When she's packing for a trip she hands it to me with a CD to load. I find both my eyes and fingers stressed by using it.
