Wow, that was fabulous, now I can see the lines of flux in my head and they make perfect sense. I'm an Electronics technician and this sent my brain in all kind of directions at once. Although I deal much with controlled Electron flow and Magnetism, this puts it all in perspective for me. Global warming aint got nothing on Tectonics! As a matter of fact, its highly likely that tectonics is the root cause of global temperature fluctuation.
We would like to believe our little snapshot in time of a few thousand years might be very insightful in analogizing our past and future but I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling today matters much in the future of our world after hearing this. How did the Ice ages happen, what killed the Dinosaurs and how did much of our ocean life seem to survive and evolve over hundreds of millions of years while most land life died and started over again many times?
I think after that, I can honestly say that I finally understand a bit about Tectonics for the first time in my life! Thats both interesting and very scary! I hope its a few million years before the next polar shift cause that sounds like it could be about as devastating an event as one could ever imagine! Unfortunately if he is correct, our days are numbered, maybe in generations but not likely hundreds of them.
We have been evolving for a long time, our genetics prove we weren't wiped out anytime in our recent past (Millions of years). If that is the case, the rise in temperature, unstable weather patterns and increased volcanic activity may be forecasting a polar shift in the making.

Glad you enjoyed it. I found this watching 20/20 last night Generation You Tube with Chris Cuomo abcnews.go.com/2020/One of the first videos I watched on Academy was Deficit and Debt...found that so interesting. Then will be back to brush up on my math. (found out when I was planning on taking a Pharm Tech course my Algebra was lacking. I guess as they say use it or loose it)
