 At least if the rif raf shows up here after the OD forum goes away, we will be able to ban them without them going over to the OD forum and spreading bullshit and playing games. What will they do when they simply dissappear from here, through "moderator error" (oops, where did that member go). They will have to go to a web host and create a board just to bitch about this one, haha. Hopefully, this board will stay as good, and self disciplining as it has thus far. It seems to me, that the members will most likely police SOME of the crap, and those of us in admin will do the rest. I am not worried. I am confident that our rules and our membership both are fair and equal. I have to think that anyone who would leave this forum at this point because of a moderation issue, would not be a member that would be missed anyway. I don't think we moderate with an iron hand, or offend many. I would guess that it is more likely that our LACK of moderation will upset someone before our moderating policies does, LOL.

thats probabaly why the od forum is failing as we discussed before the personal attacks ranting ravings and pontifications from a handful of assholes got to be too much for most posters and im sure the moderators... arguing with an ignorant person who thinks they are right all of the time is like arguing with a drnk or druggie , (absolutely useless).

 I wonder how their "comment" format is going so far. I was on the OD forum this morning and they had this horrible mug shot of Napierkowski, the alleged murderer on the front page. His hair looked really wierd, and he was really spooky looking. The article was about this nappy headed, drug addicted moron needing surgery for a brain tumor before they could try him in court. There was about 5 comments when I made mine. They all were about his needing a brain before he would have a brain tumor, and several about US paying for his surgery, blah blah blah. Some indicated that he should be let to die to save the state money, etc. I made a remark about the hair. Hmmmm. All the comments went away after an hour or so. NOW the article went away also! I guess Chinelo must have decided that this nappy headed scumbag was going to draw too much negative attention. Duh! I guess they should be more careful what articles have a comment section attached, hahaha. Not ot mention that this was the first time I had seen a picture of Napierkowski. I thought he would be a blonde headed polish kid.  Wow, was I surprised to see the half corn rows, half wild straight hair, hahahaha. I guess there was something lost by living down here in Tennessee and not seeing the news story when the murder took place and this goof was arrested.

Yeah I saw his last name and thought the same thing, friggin' pollack! (Yes I'm half polish so I'm allowed to use that term, haha!!) As far as letting him die, he hasn't even been tried for murder yet to even know for sure if he killed anyone. Sure, lets just pre-empt the entire justice system and let him die then try his corpse. There are some true morons out there. Judging by the looks of him, whether he was in jail or out on the street, my guess is the taxpayers would be footing the bill for his surgery either way, so his current "residence" is moot. |

I agree with you froggy. He should not be tried in the newspapers. He IS only an ALLEGED murderer. That is exactly why I tried to take the attention away from his guilt or innocence and focus it on making fun of the hair-do. Yes, we will pay for his brain surgery. Yes, we most likely would whether he was in jail or not. Yes he does deserve to have the surgery. This is america. We don't let people die horrible deaths from a brain tumor, when there are medical interventions available, no matter their perceived value to society, or lack thereof. I found it interesting to experiment though and to make the remark about nappy hair, just to see how long it would take them to "moderate" their comment section, and to see what they would delete or censor. The article and the mugshot are both back on the OD homepage this morning, but NO COMMENT link available! Hmmmm! I guess they are learning that any opening of the media to public comment or discussion is going to take moderation, just as the forum does. The only difference I contemplate is that the one's that want to make distasteful remarks will be deleted by the moderator, and those that promote negativity will simply have "one shot" instead of an ongoing diatribe, or the ability to start an argument.
