Roger and Ronnie Wakeel owned the old Ramada Inn on Burrstone Road together for many years and were both known and friends to many of our local band members. Roger passed away last Sunday at his home in Clayton. For those who knew him and would like to pay their last respects calling hours are this Sunday 4pm-7pm at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 284 Main Street, New York Mills. My thoughts and prayers go out to Roger's wife, Cheryl, his family, and to his many friends. Roger, thanks for being such a terrific boss and for the many years of fun we all shared together. You will always be in my prayers. ps: Roger, give your bro, Ronnie, a kiss for me. Miss you both.

Sadly we have all reached that point in our lives where we are forced to realize our own fragile mortality. The time has come when I personally thank the Lord every night when I lay my head down and once again in the morning for allowing me to begin another day. Make the most of every day we are given, and love those around you like there is no tomorrow, because there may NOT be. Never go to bed mad, and always thank the Lord for every day you are allowed to wake up, stand up, and start your day vertical and ventilating.

Clipper, AMEN to that. Thank the lord every night and day. True, true, true! But, at our age ( mine and Clipper's), with all those senior moments now, we have to remember to do just that. GOD IS GOOD! I am so blessed.

Just give me a buzz. New number 315-7658022. If I'm not at home just leave a message and I'll get right back atcha'. Very busy being on the committee for my 50th UFA class reunion that is being held that following weekend but we'll arrange "whatever" for sure. Maybe we can drag TonyJ along too. I miss spending time with him also. Gives us an opportunity to say the hell with it and make the time to see old friends again.
