www.uticaod.com/homepage/x288021994A hold up occurred on Lenox Ave and Walnut Street at 9PM last night. What a shame as that use to be such a nice area. In fact, my youngest daughter use to live on Oak Street about 15 years ago and it was a nice neighborhood back then.

I used to live on Walnut right off the corner of City Street about 28 years ago. The neighborhood sure was a lot different back then. Sad, sad, sad.

Wow he got away with $50- that robber was lucky that when he turned his back he didn't get shot.- Thats the problem with the world- not enough guns in the responsible people hands.

How fitting that it happened the eve of election day where 2 candidates without a clue on how to stop crime between them are running for County Legislature.

Got it, Dave. I'll bet Welsh and Scott have carry permits.

The way I saw it, Dave was suggesting that you had identified the correct way to reduce crime is for more citizens to arm themselves. I suggested that the 2 candidates probably have done that already.
Is there any word on the election outcome tonight?

Don't know that much about Shannon but as far as Welsh is concerned, if he handles a gun as well as he ran his district as councilman, they'll only issue him a permit for a bike-wrench. ;D Let me know what the outcome is on the election please.

Well as of 11 PM Scott is ahead of Welch.
I know somewhere I heard that things are starting to sound like htey are reverting to the "Old West" days.
If they were, we would sure not have the crime on the streets that we do!

Well, maybe just different crimes, Ralph Scott is up by around 25 votes. There are about 35 paper ballots to count. The elections commissioners should be able to count all those in what? 10-15 days? They'll be sure to be working their asses off doing it. They can really use those 6 new positions the legislature has been asked to provide.

;D Thanks guys for keeping me posted . I am pulling for Shannon. Welsh is totally useless unless you have a bike for him to repair and then you'll wait forever to get it back . Please keep me informed on the outcome. At least I know Shannon is one vote ahead with my absentee ballot yet to be counted.

There's no change in the status, bibbbiez and it's unlikely to change until the recount in a couple weeks.

Thanks frank and Ralph. OMG!!! If it's that close again I hope it doesn't end in another tie.
