These cameras will not deter crime, stricter laws that are enforced will. How about more police? I will not substitute my life and safety hoping that a camera is working or someone is watching rather than a police car driving by with a fully loaded automatic weapon strapped to his side.

Swimmy. Yup, ya gotta watch those elderly women. They get all bent and start tearing things up! Must be a menopause late reaction. Maybe delayed penis envy. (I had to start SOMETHING!) Anyway ....... thanks for confirming the lottery machine use. That's scary. Brings to mind a story from a co worker, probably 20 years ago. He went into his local CVS Drug Store and used his Master Card while checking out. The young male clerk felt the signature was invalid for some reason and that the bearer was not the true card holder and he wouldn't give the card back. The coworker became incensed, went outside and started yelling for a cop. He got the mall security guard and a few minutes later a real cop who was ready to haul him off to the pokey until he heard the full story. The town cop grabbed the card back from the kid and gave it back to my friend. Turns out CVS had just instituted a $50 reward program to be given to any clerk who found a fraudulent credit card. I'll bet a lot were found!

The cameras are going into the cars now Clipper, I imagine a good portion are done already.
This won't deter crime there. Hell, we have an average of 18+ cameras in each of our stores and the damn employees still think they can get away with ripping us off more than the customers!

I heard that Ralph. Employee theft is a major problem for all retailers. We recently had a young lady arrested for giving away approximately $14,000 through her cashier's job, to friends. Some sort of scam that they were working. It is not funny anymore, when she gets hit with a felony. It is not a prank or a little slip in judgement. It is grand theft if I am not mistaken.
We have red light cameras here in Tn. They make enough money for the cities to pay for all the extra cops they need, haha. I laughed when I read about the red light cameras in Md that ticketed a funeral procession when a cop was directing them through a red light.

Bobbiez! "Don't go there...." You bet I won't. Not when a woman is close enough to throw something at me. I tell my wife we have hidden cameras, so don't try to kill me in my sleep.

We don't need stricter laws, just better enforcement of the ones we already have, be it more arrests or stronger charges brought in court that stick. Like when a drunk kills someone, go with inentional murder and argue the transferred intent doctrine. Include the vehicular manslaughter as a lessor offense.

Remember - if we didn't have our Government watching out for us, this Nation would NOT be as great of a place to live as it still is. And I remember that if we had not once overthrown a tyrannical government, this Nation would NOT be as great of a place to live. And we'd be curtsying to a freakin' queen.

Who youse calling King George (the third, I think) a queen? Or do you mean the present Elizabeth? I think she's a lot cuter than Hillary.

That, my friend, is undeniable.
