Wow swimmy, I just counted 7 posts in 16 minutes if I am not mistaken. Atta boy!!! That's what makes this forum go around, haha. Must have honed that quick posting ability during the marathon chat during the superbowl, haha.

That super bowl marathon was an interesting but fun time. There were more than a few times I received a message saying I had to wait 15 seconds between posts. I think Kim ran into that as well.
I just like keeping the discussion topics plentiful and available for people to comment on. Plus, when I need a study break, this is the only relaxing thing I can do that isn't too disturbing to the other library Patrons.

A chat room might be a nice addition to this site. More for back and forths. It could leave the main threads to run more thoughtfully, like other forums I'm in.

Kim's going to have a field day with this. We initially discussed about creating a chat room, and with the exception of the super bowl (from hindsight), none of us saw the need for a chat room, except for Kim.

I think if the chat room was only opened for events planned in advanced.. than yeah.. it would be a good idea... like when ralph comes across an issue he must decide on.. we can all get in the chatroom state our cases and let him make his decision...
or like if thelma and me wanna go a few rounds of "yo momma" say next tuesday at 6pm.. ya'll invited to watch...
why not?

Los, that's sounds like a good idea. If a chat room were open ALL the time, no one would post in any of the threads. Then our terrific ideas and remarks would not be preserved for posterity by category. Seriously, I like your idea of planned chats. Sort of like going to the dance in high school on Friday night.
