I always thought the square in the center of Clinton would make a wonderful setting for a movie. Now all I need is a plot.

It would, actually. It has such a small town feel to it. Nice New England feel. It'd be a nice setting for anything from a romantic comedy to a slasher film!

Wiki here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sterile_CuckooMost filmed on Hamilton's campus. Some scenes filmed at Sylvan Beach! (Not during eel fly season, I'll bet.) Liza Minelli starred and was nominated for Best Actress. Really!

I love the ride from Clinton over to Saquoit or somewhere.

LOL, I followed a link to the Internet Movie Database from the Wiki site to learn more about the movie. The film's popularity had risen more than 1000% over last week. Presumably, they compute that number based on the number of hits the web page receives. 3 or 4 of us must have gone there and thrown their data all out of wack.
A friend of mine had a stock 1936 Ford Coupe that was used as a prop in the filming of Sterile Cuckoo. They paid him to park it in the background of various scenes for a couple of days. The movie wasn't set in the '30s if I recall but one of the producers just liked his car. To this day, I still bask in my 15 seconds of fame from knowing someone who owned a car that was in a movie.
