Morehouse has announced he's dropping out of the Utica mayoral race & will run for Common Council president again. Good Lord.

Obviously there is more to this story than meets the eye. Again, one particular faction is scared another faction will gain momentum in the CC.

The chess game is beginning. Strategy will soon be replaced by mud slinging, and it will be the typical Utica race. Hope Jim Zecca doesn't get caught up in it. He seems to have integrity, and I hope he can maintain it and not fall into their game. HE can run on his record. Something that most cannot HONESTLY do. I don't know a lot about Morehouse, so I cannot say much one way or the other. Probably a party decision though more so than a personal one.

Yep, Jim Zecca needs only to run on his record and most people don't even know who Moorehouse is. Crap, I've had more coverage doing things for my area in the last few years then he has. ;D

Sadly it is usually like some sort of sick reality show. At times The Sopranos comes to mind and in other times, I have been more inclined to compare it to Archie Bunker or the Three Stooges. A change would be refreshing, as would a city administration aimed at helping the city instead of helping the mayors friends and family.

The technical term is defenestration. The first use of the term (to my knowledge) was when 7 members of the Prague city council were thrown from the windows of city hall by a mob of Czech Hussites in 1419. I can find no requirement that the windows be opened prior to use.
