That does not sound very good. They called for a helicopter but had to turn it around because of the high winds. And it is very windy today. Usually when they want a helicopter it is not a good sign, even worse if it can't get there.

Wilmurt Road is a remote area by any definition of the word. It is a long way from any trauma center by ambulance. We had high wind warnings here last night also. The gusts ranged from about 30+ here, to 50 and 60 in the mountains. Thanks for the update. Keep me posted if ya see anything further.

The latest update is that it was farther north, in Ohio on Figert Road. I know the area, right around Hotel Ohio. My dad has a piece of land up there. Harvey Bridge is not far.

Thanks FA. I have hunted off the Figert Rd. Not road to be setting any land speed records on. I hope the person comes out okay. Sounds like it was not a pretty sight, hitting trees with the roof. Big owie.

Thanks FA. I don't know the kid. I will keep him and his family in my prayers though. Bad time of year to speed on those back roads with all the sand that they spread over the winter. Not hard to lose it on a curve. Young kids always seem to think they are invincible. I hope the kid recovers to drive another day.

Like my dad used to tell me when I was first learning to drive, cars can be very unforgiving. How true.

Well, at least up there they seem to enforce the seat belt laws. Here we read every day about people ejected and killed because they don't wear a seatbelt. I am surprised how many times when someone rides with me, that I have to ASK them to buckle up before I move the truck.
