HEY, my five yr old and twelve yr old grandsons have yo yo's and love them just as we did when younger. Their favorites are the ones that glow in the dark. They do the same with them that we did...walk the dog, rock the cradle and etc. Now like yo yo's, hula hoops never went out of style. At Delta State Park last summer we watched a group of kids playing with them and held their own contest on who could keep up the most for the longest. I even got into that one. Didn't win but my body hurt like hell the next day trying to win. Hula hoops are used in many gyms as exercise equipment. Just take one out at your next gathering and see how much fun it will bring back that right now you're just keeping as a memory. We have a few at our camp that are definitely utilized. Both, yo yos and hula hoops are still sold in most stores so don't bury something that is still there for all to enjoy. ;D My great Nephew has a hula hoop I tried it an my tummy gets in the way. But I can get it to go around a few times. Alan, ya gotta use those hips. Keep trying. Even with that you're using muscles you forgot about. ;D

BZ...now you done and did it ;D mentioning The Killing. So I decided to watch it (even though it looked like they ran it consecitavely all night). Fell asleep duing the first hour then switched to Apprentice to see Richard Hatch get Fired...then swtiched back only to loose interest and went to bed. Missed the blow out with Gary and Meatloaf.........looks like I'll be looking for reruns and taping them. So what was The Killing about. Never heard of this before. Was it a book or just a made for tv movie ? I'm sure it will be rerun again...maybe this week even. So sorry Chris! The Killing is a series which will be on every week. I liked the beginning and it is something you have to follow or will lose what is going on. Lot of characters to follow involved in the murder of the young girl. Didn't realize it was going to run again last night or I could have watch both programs if I could stay awake that is. ;D What night is the re-run for the Apprentice? I guess I missed a good one last night.

Can't cause my tape recorder got broke in our move but do plan on watching it. Did watch DWS last night for the first time but wasn't too impressed with any of them. Is it just me that thinks that?

Kathy was watching it for awhile. Wendy Williams got dumped. She may be a great talk show personality, but she dances like a cow, haha. Very attractive, but so tall and big boned that she simply is not capable of graceful and coordinated dancing. I felt badly for her. Thank goodness Kathy doesn't watch the program all the time. I would not care about watching any of the dancers with the exception of Kirstie Alley.

Certainly yo yo 's and hula hoops are still around and have limited popularity. I hope in 5 to 10 years reality are in the same class. Sorry I just don't like 'em. I just think about all the actors, writers, directors, stagehands etc. that are put out of work every time one of these shows replace a scripted series. I know everyone has their own taste of what they like. I even enjoy Pawn Stars and American Pickers but I don't like these shows on the cheap taking over prime time.

If people weren't watching these reality shows there would be none. I'm afraid they have taken the place of the long-running series we were so use to for many years, but in defense of reality shows, it seems more people can relate to a lot of them then most series we use to watch and I think that is why they have become so popular. Don't see them fading out for a long time.

Reality shows-vs-scripted shows... it's all a matter of money. Whichever one sells, that one will be on top.
(Bzzz - I thought of you this morning. I brewed a delicious pot of Jamaican Blend coffee. It's a special treat for me and I only brew it once in a while)
