Here in the Bible Belt, being drunk seems to be a major crime. All ya have to do is stagger once in public and off to jail you go for the night, where you are given an orange jump suit, a strip search and probably a gideon bible. Every day I read in our local paper about three or four being picked up for public drunkeness. I think they sentence them to baptist church. (sarasm)
It does seem that there should be provisions for drunks in Utica. I know they won't accept you drunk at the rescue mission for a normal night in the shelter. I think they do have a detox there, but I don't know the requirements to stay there. At least the city lock up would have kept him out of the creek and alive.

I will miss the OF Forum but there was way too much foolery going on in the background anyways. Slanderers could post viscious unsubstanciated lies and vitriol but Political inside or not so inside tracks were eliminated regularly.
ODzilla green bombs have eliminated my posting on OD, I could hack around it but thats not my style. If they don't want our free expression than I don't need to give them money for a seat at the table. The commentators were the attraction on that site not so much the content, I never required payment for my brilliant commentary but I didn't expect to be charged to give it away either.
Now that most of the ones I respect along with a plethora of new and interesting characters are here on Clippers will probably keep me from caring if the OD goes under.

Tell her I understand completely!! Hell, If I close my eyes I end up falling over anyway due to loss of visual cues. The same thing happens when I look up to the sky. lol!

I guess if a person clears their browser history and cookies they can read more than the 15 articles a month. It worked for me.
