It's still a couple weeks early to do our Happy Spring dance & cookout, but here's an old favorite to help pass the time until then.

Normally I would be hiding in on a day like this but I have tickets to a play at the Geva Theater. Too expensive to call it a snow day. ;D

So ready for winter to be over!! I drove from Watertown to Utica & back yesterday. Pouring rain from Watertown to Barneveld. Same on the way back. I know I'm old because I had to leave Utica early enough so I wouldn't have to drive in the dark. lol.
Woke up to snow this morning. Our plows haven't even come through yet, which is odd, because Watertown seems to stay right on top of things. Hopefully this is the last snowstorm. My mother & I are hitting the road in a few weeks to visit my sister in North Carolina.

I'm hoping it ends soon as well. Started out this heating season in November with kerosene @ $2.99 a gallon. Went yesterday and it is up @ $3.99 a gallon. Give us a brake soon!!!

Ralph, I used to heat with kerosene years ago, & it hovered at about 67 cents per gallon. Because I had a boiler furnace, it also heated the hot water. Those were the days! They didn't charge a "delivery charge" like National Grid does, so heating the house AND the hot water cost less than $500 per year. If you're not involved with that co-op in NY State that acquires cheaper kero, you should be. And of course I can't remember the name of it offhand, but it saves you a lot of money. They send out bids to the various fuel companies & whoever wins the bid gets everyone's business. It was started by one of the Kennedys, & I think it was "People's Energy" or something like that. It's in the phonebook, & because Betty is on Disability they will waive the yearly membership charge.

My cable is acting like it's going to cut out any minute now. There goes my TV, telephone and computer. So if I disappear don't send the calvary. It's only my freaking cable company again.

Not sure if you ever heard or know of it. It's called "Over the Tavern" writen by a guy from Buffalo about a Polish Catholic family growing up in the 50 ans 60's. Was great and a very funny play. Mostly a lot of Catholic humour and not so much Polish other than the names. One of the sons (Georgie) has downs syndrome as does the actor who plays him. He was great.
they have some clips on youtube if you want to get a peak.
