Schumer in UticaReally?!?! Because I just had a client (arrested for Grand Larceny, first criminal charge ever) submit to giving a DNA sample as part of a conditional discharge to a misdemeanor (petit larceny) that he ultimately pled guilty to.

Chuckie is a supporter of police state tactics. He's taken most of my money, now he wants parts of my body for the good of the many, this is Science Fiction gone fact for real. Guilty until proven innocent is the nature of this criminal invasion of my body. "If you have nothing to hide than this shouldn't be an issue" is the phrase of the day. Don't be naive, everyone has many things they wish to hide and have the right to do so via the constitution, The right not to self incriminate!
I had to do it when I was in the Army, NBD, I understand that completely but thats not at all what were talking about here. Too many people have too much access to this information and Data base mining is a fact of life today. If the Army can't keep it's secrets out of the hands of Wiki Leaks, why would I trust the Police to safeguard my most revealing personal characteristic?
Whats next, "Miss, your taillights out, I'm going to need a blood sample"...

I have to disagree with this practice. Why? Because not everone who is arrested IS guilty. I understand why they want DNA, fingerprints, mugshots, the whole pedigree, but what's to say that information stays in the system if the arrestee is not guilty, either by aquital or by the case being dismissed?

Is it me or does New York need to dismiss Chuck Schumer? He really seems like part of the problem. His agenda is headlines and now that he hired A. Roefaro I seriously doubt any of the people working for him are up to the required standard we need. Chuck has been in Albany long enough to accept a large amount of the responsibility for the current state of affairs.

I was thinking along those same lines Boomer, although I don't live there anymore and don't vote there.
I had to wonder if the "friends and family" program has expanded and spread like the common cold, or if it simply has "chapters" like a fraternal organization and one can move up in the organization from local to state and finally to national standing.
I guess when Angelo is gone, a call to city hall on a busy funeral day may simply get you Roefaro's voice mail. lol
