" Nahh. It IS a gesture that should be saved for "special recipients" and not just thrown around wrecklessly. Sometimes an occasion arises when words simply don't suffice. ROFL
I received a few of them when I drove a truck. When we would climb a long hill, and cars would be stuck behind us, I would receive a whole bouquet of them when the road flattened out and those cars passed me, hahaha. You know I'm far from being a prude and in the privacy of my own home or with my friends I have used that gesture often but usually in the form of kidding around with someone. To this day I still fear what my Dad would do if I ever use that gesture in public. I honestly can say I don't ever remember doing it in public. It's probably cause it gives me more pleasure to say what's on my mind to someone who does me wrong then to just use my finger. I am fully capable of verbally putting someone in their place and shutting them up. Works for me. ;D

"Hey, if I was that cop I know I would have done the same if not worse." We are ALL glad you are not a cop. ROFL Although I would probably be able to get the ACLU to help me sue for "police brutality" after they read about the way you abuse "this poor innocent man."

"this poor innocent man"..............bet it was hard to type that with a straight face. Hey, if you and Dave think that of me if I were a cop then I can imagine so would the criminals facing me and would maintain their best behavior. Just what we need. ;D

Bet if busting heads was still allowed we wouldn't have the punks and crimes on our streets today. The sad part is the criminals know damn well the cops can't bust their heads which gives them no fear. Yeah, it's unfortunate that that pesky constitution gets in a cop's way when administering "justice." lol

Yeah, it's unfortunate that that pesky constitution gets in a cop's way when administering "justice." lol Speaking of giving someone an indecent, disrespectful gesture I'll let you know what my "justice" would be....after breaking your finger, I'd walk away with just an appearance ticket having to pay just a fine but it would be well-worth it teaching you a lesson that for me that gesture is disrespectful and unacceptable. Bet you wouldn't think of giving that gesture to your parents any more then I would.

Disrespectful, and unacceptable? Hmmm, that must be why it isn't included in the little "smileys" that are available here on the Proboards forums, LOL. Hell, back when I was "stoning" Stoney about Obama, she would have had it burned into her monitor screen, ROFL. It would have saved her having to type Pbbllllt all the time, and using the one with the tongue stuck out, LOL.

lol! Yep, we all know what the gesture means and if we use the word instead you'd be the first one to bleep me out. You'd remind me of my father if I dare use either but he wouldn't be as nice by just using bleeping. ;D

Haha. You are right about the father thing BZ. When I was a kid, if I used that word I got "bleeped" right out of my chair and picked my sorry ass up off the floor, haha. What cracks me up is that the word itself is censored, but on most websites, you can still use asterisks and the first and last letter, and EVERYONE knows what you are telling them, ROFL.

You know it's pretty funny and sad when this gesture or the word can be used against any one at any time and no one complains about it or starts any action against it when just recently there is such a large controversy over the re-write of the classic book, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and the "N" word used in it. Some who feel offended want the "N" word changed to "slave" instead. We have become a one-sided society that views offensive actions to only a few. Something is not right with this picture. NO ONE can use the "N" word but we're suppose to accept someone offending us by giving us the finger which means FU. Both are offensive and both words are in the dictionary. Maybe next will be the dictionary banned because the "N" word is in it. I'm sure it won't be cause the "F" word is in it.

No, no, no, no!
Using the "n" word is like buying a ford model t: Anyone can say the "n" word, as long as you're black. It amazes me that so many blacks refer to each other with the "n" word, but get so hostile toward anyone else. Double standard? YES!!

I once told a gang banger to stop referring to my client (his friend) as the "n" word. His response: "Boy, you better shut yo mouff or I knock the shit out u." I told him where he could go stick it and that on the street that might mean something to somebody but he was in my office. "Bitch, you know who I am and what I could do to you?" My response, "The question is do I care to know who you are, and the answer is no. What you should be more concerned with is who I am and I can do to you." His response, "Who you think you is?" My response, "Your "n" word's lawyer who is trying to get the charge dismissed because the search violated the 4th Amendment." His response, "Ohhh, true dat. Guess I be shuttin' up."
The sad part is this guy had tears tattooed on his face, and I wasn't scared. But my irate family court male client scared the crap out of me when he lost his custody case and threatened to hunt me down on the street and make me fix his problem.
