School board approves continuing Proctor police patrolsWhile I don't necessarily like the idea of police patrols because it makes me feel as though we are no different than a third world militant regime with armed soldiers at every street corner, I this was a good move to try and reduce the violence and other reprehensible behavior that goes on inside those school walls.

wasted resource for the pacification of a bunch of old folks (no offense old folks on this forum) who live near the school.
If a kid destroys your property or tresspasses or whatever, call the cops......they shouldn't be stationed near your home to protect it.
If the kids are in the road...hit the horn or drive faster....trust me, they will move......they always do.

jduges - have you ever sit out in front of Proctor at dismissal time? Have you actually witnessed watching over 2,000 kids all pour out of the HS all at one time? I have as before I got so sick, I use to pick up my GD after school (now she takes a bus home). These kids all stand around on the neighbors lawns and throw all their trash ever ever they choose to. There is absolutely no respect for other people's property.
Just driving down Hilton Ave to Eagle St. is an "experience" as these kids cut right in front of you and think they own the entire road.
The majority of then remind me of a bunch of unsupervised cattle marching down a city street!

Thanks for registering and posting. I think we will have a lot of productive and civil discussion with this board, and less interference from "moderators". Hmmm. I KNOW we won't have as much interference from moderators, because we started this forum strictly to get away from that crap, haha!
