I have not reviewed the specifics of this bond proposal, but I will reiterate that this is the best time for school renovation projects to occur. The state is providing an outstanding incentive to local school districts to do this now and it could be many many years before they provide a similar program.
Renovation and updating of existing facilities is something that has to be periodically done with any structure - residential, commerical or governmental. Why not do it now when the state is providing more financial assistance for these types of projects than it has in the past 15 years (in the form of EXCEL aid)?
The renovations would still probably be needed 5 or 10 years from now, but local taxpayers would be saddled with a greater percentage of the burden if they were done then.

Agreed, We have to do something and If we don't take the money someone else will.
I too think it will be approved. What will be interesting is whether or not they will re-open some of the old schools (Wetmore, Conkling, etc)
