Looked like a real fancy "shin dig". I threw out my invitation and never did find out why I got invited in the first place!

God, we are getting just like we did on the "other" forum. haha. We went from a formal ball to manure spreaders. I DIDN'T START IT, HONEST! haha.
Hang loose a minute, maybe I can get ahold of Thelma and Bobbbiez, and maybe we can remember some manure spreading stories from Keyes Rd. I know Los would enjoy a good bedtime story about Keyes Rd. He loves my keyes road stories. LOL
Gee Countrygal, I am dissappointed. I thought for sure you and hubby would use your invitation, and represent us all, and come back to report on the festivities. I was envisioning you sipping champaign with your pinky sticking out, dressed in all your finery, and your better half in one of those monkey suits with tails.

Yeah right!!!! I'm lucky I got him in a tux for our wedding! I did entertain the thought of going for about 30 seconds then figured out it would cost too much money to rub elbows with people I didn't know. Sigh....maybe next year!

Things must be rough when the forum owner has to use a guest account.

I can explain that Frank. I had opened two accounts inadvertantly when I was setting up the board. I had ralph take one down the other day. Any posts I had made under that account, that are still posted, will show as a "guest" post.

LOL!!! That was Clippers original account before he managed to figure out how to get in here.
He didn't see any sense in having two, so he asked me to do away with one and put his siggy in the other.

It struck my funny bone. Well, at least he wasn't anonymous.

Clipper has the first deleted account...
The reporting on this ball at the OD site made me gag.. Its a combination of Scoop Johnson meets Cindy Adams of Page Three

Why not look at this Social Event for Utica in a more positive light? The way I look at it, this "Ball" was based on political connections - NOT for the majority of us (the common man). If they want to go to all the expense of buying the "right" kind of clothes to impress others, along with the price of the ticket, let them as ALL the money will be given to provide more programs for children by the Libary.
I think this is a great idea to raise money to support needed programs that all of us taxpayers don't have to pay with an increase in our taxes.

You're right, I am overlooking a very positive aspect of this ball, i.e., the money raised for the library than will go towards library projects. And in that sense I congratulate mrs. Roefaro and Mayor Roefaro for their efforts in coordinating the event.
