My heart is breaking this morning. My God son was killed in a tragic work accident yesterday in Upstate NY. He drove a truck for a company in Syracuse NY and was crushed to death when the dump body of the truck he was driving suffered a hydraulic failure of some sort and came down, crushing him. Keep his mom and family in your prayers. Vinny Unczur was one day past his 30th birthday. Rest in peace Vinny.
Please pray for Michelle Unczur, Vinny's mom and for his brothers and sister. Vinny's dad died at 43 from a heart attack while cutting firewood. He left three kids, Pete Jr, Vinny and Stacia. The oldest was 27 months old when their dad died. Michelle lost her second husband to a stroke a few short years ago, and then her mom, and and just two weeks ago, they buried her dad. She had been the caretaker for both her mom and dad until the time of their death.
Vinny was killed just one day after his 30th birthday. Vinny was the most like his dad, Pete Unczur Sr. He was a kind and gentle man, with a heart as big as all outdoors. He was always there for his mom to lean on when times were tough. I am typing through the tears just remembering what a wonderful and fun young man Vinny was. He did not have a bad or mean bone in his body. If someone was in need, Vinny would be there to offer a helping hand or a kind and encouraging word. His kind heart and concern for others will be his legacy.
My concern is for Michelle, who has had way too much tragedy in her life. May God watch over her, and keep her well and safe. Wish I was there to give her a hug and hold her hand. She is a special friend. She and her first husband Pete have been my very best friends ever. Just know that my heart is there with ya Michelle, even though I cannot make the trip due to Kathy's recent surgery.
Even the kids don't remember their father because they were so young when he died, but Pete was a wonderful gentle giant of a man, and Vinny was just like him in every way. Rest assured Michelle, that Vinny is with Pete now, looking down and watching over you. You now have TWO special angels to watch over you.
