Well he finally came out and made it official about running for governor and picked our mayor as running mate. I'm still thinking about this...not the Cuomo part but the Duffy part. (well maybe the Cuomo part also) I liked the dad but not sure about Andrew.

If anyone has reasons to support any of the current crop of candidates, I would like to hear them. I'm not trying to be funny or sarcastic, I am really at a loss concerning for whom I will vote.
The majority of our choices (including Mr. Cuomo) appear to be business as usual. The rest appear to be a collection of "never heard of" and "not on your life." I know nothing about your Mr. Duffy so he doesn't add or subtract anything for me.
Yesterday on WKTV a reporter quoted Angelo Roefaro saying that "Da Mayor" had been asked to run for a statewide position but had turned it down. The only position I could imagine would be Lt. Gov. Try to picture that, I can't.

cuomo sr was a disaster screwed state employees who helped get him lelected forover 10 years we went without raiseswhen there was plenty of money in the state was a candidate for president at one time then backed out due to stil unknown skeletons in the closet...the son or our current dem candidate is an uktra liberal who feels he is entitled to a life time career in politics .. if elected will use as a stepping stone to challenge obama in a primary or convention for 2012 as i feel that obam is a onetermer and has disappointed powerful members of his own party....the simple scoop on cuomo is entitled arrogant feels many people are beneath him possible mob ties via the father

LOL Stoney. Why did I know that because I dislike Cuomo and thought his father to be a crook and a knucklehead, that you would think that he was a wonderful guy and most qualified to be governor of NY, haha? Do you think it is possible that we have some major differences in what we expect in a politician?
I really don't have a horse in the race in NY state. I am hoping at this point to remain in the South and simply do summers in NY. Thanks to people like Andrew Cuomo's father and idiots like the blind jackass that governs right now, I can't AFFORD to move back to NY and own property, buy gasoline, or license and insure a car. We are paying $2.56 for gas, and our taxes are only one third of what they were in Utica. My Class A CDL was $94 with the extra endorsements in NY. It is $50 in Tennessee. License plates for the vehicles are only about $28 a year.

Mario Cuomo stuck his nose into the base closure business, and when he got through throwing his weight around, his "influence" managed to piss off the base closure commission bad enough to prompt the closing of BOTH bases. Griffiss and Plattsburg. Young Cuomo is a carbon copy of his dad with an extra helping of over confidence and arrogance. That is simply my opinion and we know how that goes don't we Stoney, haha.

I worked in a real estate office when Cuomo Sr. He obviously had an extreme dislike for real estate agents. There were numerous and often sightings of his Dept of State henchmen descending on the offices to take a look at how business was being taken care of. Cuomo Jr. will not be getting my vote.

Will be interesting to hear what and how the rest of the state feels about this. Most know Cuomos but not Duffy. (but I like Chris Cuomo from ABC/GMA/News)
