Oh yeah. Flo's still has real homefries and they are wonderful with onions fried up in them. That is one place where you still get a truck drivers helping of everything at a decent price. Her pancakes are about the size of truck tires, haha.

lol!!!!!! And don't forget Flo's mashed potatoes with lumps in it. Now, that's real homemade cooking! ;D Just love that place! The next time you and Kathy come into town let's make plans to go there together for a great meal.

How about the pork steaks. NOBODY serves pork steaks rather than pork chops in a restaurant. The darn things were delicious. I guess you have to have been brought up eating pork steaks and chuck steaks instead of Loin chops and ribeyes, haha. Comfort food and big portions. Just like home. Finish that off with a hot coffee and a slab of Flo's homemade pie and you are all set for the day.

Yeah, and still only 10cents for a good cup of coffee. Clipper, you are so right. My two favorite meals there are the pork steak and liver, onions & bacon dinners. Both melt in your mouth. Then in perch season ya can't keep me out of the place. Mouth-watering delicious. Also, their bull head dinners are to die for. Then top of my meal with their strawberry shortcake with "real" homemade biscuits. God, I'm making myself hungry for Flo's! ;D

It's a little early in the day to get the grill out, but that looks very tempting.

Hmm. Not fair Ralph. I am sitting here in Kathy's hospital room, where the odoriferous stench of hospital chicken tenders and instant mashed potatoes fills the air. When I come back from having dinner with Kim and her family tonight, I will bring Kathy a frosty from wendy's and something decent to eat. Hospital food just sucks. Thank god there is a bagel shop in the cafeteria section that DOES have a decent cup of "joe", haha.

Pork steak........ MMMMMMMMMM.........to die for!!! Yepper Ralph! I'd be fighting Clipper to be first in line. ;D Must be we're from the generation that knew what it is to watch our pennies and who couldn't afford steaks. Can't believe just how many people don't know what pork steaks are and never had them when it was on our tables all the time. In my house pork steaks are still on our menu often. I still get mine where my grandparents got theirs at Pulaski's Meat Mkt on Lenox Ave. Those that don't know can continue to pay through the nose for their expensive steaks. For me, there's nothing better and more mouth-watering then a pork steak, especially on the grill.

I really intended to buy pork steaks this morning. When I got to the meat section there were these ribs in a package just the right size for my wife & me. Maybe next week.

I'll have them all ready for you on your next trip here. That's only if you're a good boy and keep your damn cell phone in your pocket! ;D

I promise to keep my cell phone in my pocket. I found out that it is quite stimulating to put the cell on vibrate and then call my own number from the land line,
