Yes, it does seem like just yesterday we lost Tom, and never want to relive news like that ever again. Was a very beautiful service held for Tom tonight with many people attending. It was a wonderful feeling to see how many people care and remember Tom and his families. Tom would feel so proud that so many came to show their appreciate for his service and how he gave the ultimate sacrifice to his community. God bless all.

It was an extreme tragedy that he lost his life that way. Just wish the other guy who perjured himself was prosecuted as well.

On that day Someone Killed A Policeman Today Someone killed a policeman today And a part of America died... And a piece of our country which he swore to protect Will be buried with him at his side.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield too, Just as if he had gone off to war. Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast, To his name they will add a gold star.
The suspect that shot him will stand up in court With counsel demanding his rights, While a young, widowed mother must work hard for kids And spend many long, lonely nights.
Yes, someone killed a policeman today, Maybe in your hometown or mine, While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors A cop put his life on the line.
Now his ghost walks the beat on a dark city street And he stands by each new rookies side. He answered the call, of himself gave his all
And a Part of America Died!

Agree, but as you know, sometimes it has to be done to catch the one who actually did the crime. Especially in a society who sees or knows nothing. That's what you have to deal with today.........someone gets shot but yet doesn't know a thing and will not co-operate with the investigation. Then you have witnesses a few feet away from the crime taking place and they don't know anything and will not co-operate with the authorities, but they will be the first ones to complain how bad the crime is in their area and complain the police don't do anything In Tom's case that is exactly what took place but in giving leniency to one, Tom's killer was prosecuted and will never walk our streets again. That's good enough for me.
